Stoat again

Could this be the same one as seen yesterday? If so it has moved quite a distance from the west side of Flora Field to the northern end of the Hay Meadow marsh. Bounding around in the soft rush, putting up at least three snipe in the process. It showed a particular interest in the decaying piles of cut rush. It does stand out clearly in its semi-ermine. It appears that stoats in the southern part of their range tend to stay brown over winter whilst northern ones are more likely go pure white, so this stoat’s mix of brown and white on top is probably its winter outfit.
