News from the Feeding Station

Volunteers watching at the double gates have clocked:

  • jays, chaffinch, reed buntings and robin at or around the table
  • pheasants poking around the cage and eating the seed on the ground
  • dunnock in the hedge
  • crows and pigeons
  • long-tailed tits moving around nearby

Also  reported: fieldfare and redwing leaving their overnight roost in Pony Wood, and at the far end of the reserve, a water rail heard in Lucy Brook near the Cromwell Rd entrance.
