Recent Sightings

Recent  sightings on and around the feeding station have been dunnock, linnet, robin, chaffinch, reed bunting and stock dove, as well as the commoner bigger birds: jays, jackdaws, blackbirds, wood pigeon, magpie and pheasants.

Nearby there have been nuthatch, greater spotted woodpecker, a singing mistle thrush, mixed flocks of redwing, fieldfare and greenfinch  and a kestrel.

Passers-by have also recorded on the notice board a kingfisher on the canal, grey heron, little egret and greenfinch by Lucy brook. A pair of goosanders are seen regularly on the canal and a gadwall with a mallard lady-friend.
