The wood anenomes near the Orchard north gate are starting to come. Blackthorn blossom near the fruit hedge.
On yesterday’s tour with Richard we saw a heron in Upper Sowerholme, teal in Alder Pond whilst a little earlier I saw a song thrush near the shed.
I note the report of meadow pipits in Big Meadow (blog 1/4/15). I am pretty sure I saw these yesterday but could not be sure at the time.
