Whilst three of us were checking the Flora boundaries this evening we distinctly heard a cuckoo in the hedge / trees that border the Gleeson field.
Also two house martins acting very flirtatiously.

… and on the way home from these encounters, two of us watched a pair of starlings having a very happy and extremely thorough bath in Alder Pond.
