A pair of Canada geese were on one of the ponds by Aldcliffe Rd.
We also saw a hare in the woodland extension next to the field, possibly hiding from the work going on in the field.
Notable entries on the sightings board were:
- a swallow over Alder Pond
- a lesser whitethroat singing where the Orchard path meets the Long Pads
- greenfinch in Pony Wood,
- shelduck in West Field
- moorhen and lots of blackbirds
We heard a willow warbler near Little Wood and a blackcap in Pony Wood
