The first flush count of the Winter season was carried out on Wednesday 3 November in mild but very wet and windy conditions.
- Big Meadow: 7 Common Snipe and 4 Jack Snipe
- School Pond: 16 Common Snipe and 1 Jack Snipe
- Hay Meadow: 4 Common Snipe from the wetter part of the field
- Upper Sowerholme: no birds seen
In total, 27 Common Snipe and 5 Jack Snipe = 32 birds.
We also observed 1 Teal and 1 Brown Hare in Big Meadow and 1 Grey Heron in Cromwell Pond.
