On Wednesday 3 December the Snipe flush count volunteers surveyed the very wet fields in bright sunshine.
The results were as follows:
Haymeadow: 6 Snipe, 0 Jack Snipe.
Upper Sowerholme: 0 Snipe, 0 Jack Snipe.
School Pond: 23 Snipe, 0 Jack Snipe.
Big Meadow: 33 Snipe, 14 Jack Snipe.
Total: 62 Snipe, 14 Jack Snipe
