Many thanks to everyone who responded to our request for bakers and tour guides for the annual Walk-and-Talk event on the morning of 29 January 2025.
We are still short of a few tour guides to provide us with resilience and would therefore be very grateful for a few more volunteers. Mick Short has provided a helpful guide for the reserves, explaining the history of the Flora and Fauna nature reserve, and the Millenium Orchard. We will provide this to all tour guides.
Tour guides will escort small groups of students (4-5) through the orchard and nature reserve, describing their history and notable features. The complete event lasts 3.5 hours and we will need the tour guides for a couple of hours from 10.00 to 12.00, although guides are welcome to stay for the whole event, especially as there will be hot drinks and cakes afterwards at the Friends’ Meeting House.
